TalentLMS is designed to set the system of record for training content. The intention is to move training from SharePoint, Google Sites, Centricity, and other platforms onto one single source. Additionally, it is designed to create a user-friendly platform for trainers across the district to deliver content.
With TalentLMS, content is to be divided into courses across different branches (departments). Courses will be automatically assigned to groups of employees based on job titles, with the added ability for learners to browse a course catalog for additional optional content. TalentLMS also offers a file library for sharing documentation, such as calendars or forms. Each branch has unlimited capacity for storage and easy sharing. Additionally, annual refresher trainings, new hire orientations, and mandatory content can be offered on TalentLMS, which will allow the district to have a one-stop-shop for all district provided content.
TalentLMS software is owned and supported by the Management Information Systems (MIS) department, but provides services to the entire district. This system was designed by a committee of 10 members who had the district's best interest at heart and shared a passion for a better quality of training for WESD. If you have any suggestions for trainings, or want the opportunity to deliver content to the district, contact your supervisor for more information.
